Recently a group of staff from The Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois visited the Arboretum and met Frances Bickelhaupt, who with her husband had attended classes more than 50 years ago at the Morton. Francie welcomed the visitors and David took them on a tour of the grounds. The group presented the Arboretum with Arctostaphylos uva-ursi var. coactilis plants (bearberry) which will be introduced by Chicagoland Grows and have yet to be named. This rare gift will be a highlight of the collections. |
